History of Riverside Legal Aid

Public Service Law Corporation was founded in 1982 by the Riverside County Bar Association to serve the legal needs of the under-served in Riverside County. We do this primarily through clinics in which clients meet one-on-one with attorneys, assisted by top-notch paralegals who prepare paperwork and help clients through the maze of court procedures.

We also have attorneys present in court in Temecula and Indio to assist self-represented people in guardianship and conservatorship cases.

Our Joint Bankruptcy & Federal District Court Pro Se Clinic offers assistance to self-represented people in the Federal and Bankruptcy courts through a grant from the U.S. District Court’s Attorney Admissions Fund. Last year the clinic assisted more than 1,800 people, including more than 1,500 with bankruptcies. In 2014, we began offering Bankruptcy services in the Coachella Valley, funded by a grant from the American College of Bankruptcy Foundation.

PSLC began doing business as Riverside Legal Aid in December, 2012.

We help nearly 3,000 clients each year obtain access to justice.
